Data Formats

The updated data format mentioned in a previous post is now available. Documentation is now available. Along with the new data format, we are introducing Decision Metrics, summary information aggregated across all of the accounts retrieved. More documentation will also be provided on these shortly. Please get in touch if you would like more information sooner.

These are available through both BankStatements and BankFeeds. As previously, the newer data version is not officially supported when retrieved through BankFeeds in xml format.

Client-side API

We now have a CORS-enabled ‘client-side’ API available for BankStatements. This can be used in conjunction with the existing 'server-side’ API. Sensitive, credential-related calls can be made directly from the client’s device, with requests to load the transaction data being made from the server. Documentation is available in the BankStatements Docs. We will need to whitelist your domains on your account before you are able to implement this.

In time, we plan to phase out the current server-side login methods, in favour of their client-side alternatives, in order to better protect end-user credentials. A lengthy deprecation period will be provided.

New Institution

We now support retrieving data from NAB Connect, NAB’s business banking portal. Available now for both BankStatements and BankFeeds.
